Mr. Hall graduated with Honors in 1982 from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Mr. Hall started his professional real estate career with the Western U.S. Division of New York-based Tishman Management and Leasing Corporation, which at the time, was California's largest owner/operator of urban core high-rise office buildings.

Mr. Hall left Tishman in 1987 and began assembling investor groups to acquire distressed commercial property during the market downturn of the 80's and early 90's. In 1992, he acquired a 50% interest in his father's property management business. By the year 2000, when Mr. Hall completed his acquisition of 100% of the newly re-named Hall Equities Group, Mr. Hall had transformed the organization into a diversified full service income property investor, developer and property manager.

Today, Hall Equities Group employs approximately 50 real estate professionals and handles more than 70 properties totaling 7.1 million square feet with a market value of approximately $800 million. Mr. Hall acts as the managing shareholder of some 25 separate investment entities representing approximately one half of the value of the firm's managed portfolio. The balance of the portfolio consists of Agency contracts for third party assets predominantly with Mr. Hall's various private investor partners.

Mr. Hall is active in several West Coast markets, and presently has real estate investments in the Seattle-Tacoma Metropolitan area; the Portland Metropolitan area; the San Francisco East Bay, South Bay and North Bay area; Southern California's Inland Empire; and California’s Central Valley.  Mr. Hall is an "opportunity investor", and does not consider himself to be a specialist in any particular real property product type. Mr. Hall owns, operates or has developed, office buildings, retail shopping centers, industrial warehouses and manufacturing facilities, multi-family apartments, medical and dental buildings, R&D and Life Science laboratories, self-storage facilities, hotels, single family detached residential subdivisions, and multi-family residential condominiums. 

Mr. Hall is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the Urban Land Institute. His firm is an Accredited Management Organization.
